On this adventure you will enjoy safaris into incredible nature reserves (including Chobe and Etosha), enjoy sunset river cruises along the mighty Zambezi, explore the Okavango Delta by Mokorokoro (African Canoe), view the amazing Victoria falls and the breathtaking Fish River Canyon. You will ride your motorcycle along amazing roads through the starkly beautiful Kalahari desert, and stop to view elephants on the highway and meet some of the friendly locals along the way. Day 1: Arrive in South Africa
Distance: 0-50km
Highlights: Day Tour of Pretoria

You will be met at JHB International Airport by a Ride in Africa representative who will transfer you to your Pretoria Lodge, where your motorcycle awaits. For those arriving early, a tour of Pretoria on motorcycle will be arranged. There will be a welcome dinner at the lodge and after the Tour briefing, the evening will be spent making new friends and enjoying the African evening.

Day 2: Pretoria To Sherwood, Botswana
Distance: 450km
Highlights: Luxury Camping on the banks of the Limpopo River

Today we leave Pretoria and make our way northwards through the wild province of Limpopo to the Botswana border. After border procedures we make our way into this beautiful African country- where elephants roam the highways and laid back locals travel by donkey cart. Tonight, Camp will be set up out in the wild, along the Limpopo river. Dinner will be had around a spectacular camp fire and as you fall asleep you can listen to the great sounds of the African night- Lions roaring in the distance...

Day 3: Sherwood to Makgadigadi Pans
Distance: +- 400km
Highlights: The Makgadigadi Pans- Largest Salt pans in the World

After a scrumptious bush breakfast we make our way through Botswana towards Nata. Nata is the frontier town for the Makgadigadi Pans-the largest salt complex in the world. This afternoon we embark on a Sunset "Cruise" in a 4x4 to view these remarkable dried up salt pans.
Day 5: Kasane to Livingstone
Distance: +-180km
Highlights: Sunset River Cruise on the mighty Zambezi River

Today we take the local ferry crossing to enter Zamia- home of Victoria Falls. The border crossing take approximately 3 hours so patience is key. However, all is worthwhile when we get to our accommodation for the next two nights- right on the riverfront- only 5 km away from Victoria Falls. This Afternoon we will join a sunset river cruise along the Zambezi river to spot hippos, crocs and if you are lucky- an elephant or two.

Day 6:  Livingstone rest day

Today is free for you to enjoy The Victoria Falls - don't forget to take a raincoat - the sheer amount of water tumbling down this breathtaking waterfall will leave you speechless. After viewing the falls there are many exciting activities to partake in. You can try white river rafting, bungee jumping or enjoy a scenic flight to get a bird eye view of Victoria falls. Elephant back safaris are also very popular- booking in advance is essential to avoid disappointment.
Day 7: Livingstone to Okavango Delta

Highlights: Caprivi Strip, Okavango Delta, Hippo cage diving

Today we make our way into Namibia. The border crossing between Zambia and Namibia is a breeze- We enter Namibia's Caprivi Strip, a long narrow strip at the top of the country. As we drive along this beautiful road you will be able to view African homesteads and lush African bush. Here life is simple and sweet. Our lodge for the next two nights is situated on the Okavango River right on the panhandle of the delta. The area is a paradise of flooded plains and swamps, teeming with wildlife. They have an interesting "pool" which is actually a fenced off floating pool in the river- this gives a whole new meaning to crocodile and hippo cage diving, and makes for a refreshing dip after a long day's motorcycle ride. Relax on the deck overlooking the river and enjoy an unforgettable African Sunset while being serenaded by Hippos and African Fish Eagles.

Day 8: Okavango Delta Rest Day

Highlights: Optional Okavango panhandle trip

You have the entire day free to relax and enjoy the beautiful river setting. Their are many optional activities available including boat rides and visits to the local villages. An optional activity that we highly recommend is going on a Okavongo panhandle trip-where you get into a Mokorokoro (African Canoes) and make your way down the Okavango river in search of hippos, crocodiles and elephants- with a bit of help from a local guide/poler who expertly navigates the waterways. This tour is combined with a visit to a San Bushman or Mbukushu settlement and is followed by a game drive in the Mahango National park, home to a myriad of plains game as well as elephant, lion, wild dog and buffalo. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Day 9: Okavango Delta to Etosha

Highlights: Rural Namibia

Today is a lovely ride through the Namibian countryside- watch out for elephants! In the late afternoon we will arrive at our lodge for the next two evenings right on the border of the Etosha National Park

Day 10: Safari into Etosha Pans
Distance: +- 0-50 km
Highlights: Etosha Pans

Today we swap our motorcycles for a 4 wheel drive safari vehicle and make our way into the Etosha pan game reserve. Unlike many other game reserves where you can spend long days looking for animals without any success, this game reserve is famous for its plentiful sightings of wildlife. The Etosha pan makes for a well deserved oasis in the middle of the semi arid desert and animals flock to the water...
Day 11: Etosha to Swakopmund
Distance: +- 620 km
Highlights: Ride the Kalahari Route

After a delicious breakfast we make our way down through Namibia, watching in amazement as Semi arid desert, become fully arid desert and then transforms into full blown sand dunes towering into the horizon. In the late afternoon we arrive at Swakopmund a coastal town famous for its great waves, beautiful sand dunes and German hospitality- our home for the next two nights...

Day 12: Rest day Swakopmund
Distance: +- 450 km
Highlights: Sand boarding, quad biking and many other optional activities

Swakopmund is the adventure capital of Namibia-Here you can skydive, sand board, microlight,quad bike- the options are endless. If you are looking for more of a relaxing time- you can enjoy the beach- or explore the wonderful German restaurants and shops in town.
Day 13: Swakopmund to Rehobooth
Distance: +- 450 km
Highlights: Private game reserve, Lake Oanob

Riding down through Namibia- we make our way to Lake Oanob just past Rehobooth. Our Lodge for the evening is built on the banks of the very scenic Oanob Dam. Majestic mountains are set on fire by spectacular sunsets. From your patio you can see the reflections of the moon and stars on the lake. 6 200 ha of unspoiled nature provides the perfect haven for an abundance of free roaming game. Relax and unwind in this beautiful setting.

Day 14: Rehobooth to Ais Ais
Distance: +- 620 km
Highlights: Hot Springs, Fish River Canyon

Today we make our way to Africa's largest canyon - "The Fish River Canyon" . The canyon is 160km long and up to 27 km wide and 550m deep in some places. The views over this canyon will take your breath away! Our accommodation for night is at the Ais Ais hot springs resort, situated at the eastern side of the canyon. Time to relax those tired motorcycle riding muscles in a hot spring.
Day 15: Ais-Ais to Springbok
Distance: +- 300 km
Highlights: Magical Namaqualand, Star Gazing

Time to head back into South Africa- we make our way through Namaqualand- an area made famous by its wild flowers that bloom into a whirlwind of color during the springtime each year! Springbok is known for its peace and tranquility- tonight we will be staying at a Game Lodge- where you are guaranteed to "Find the magic in Namaqualand..." Because Springbok is literally in the middle of nowhere, the stargazing is phenomenal,so relax and enjoy the constellations!
Day 17: Citrusdal to Langebaan
Distance: +- 200 km
Highlights: Beautiful un spoilt beaches

Today we make our way down to Langebaan, a beautiful town situated on a beach and lagoon with beautiful azure blue waters bordered by white sandy beaches. We will arrive early, park our motorcycles and enjoy all that this beautiful little coastal town has to offer.

Day 4: Makgadigadi Pans to Kasane
Distance +-330km
Highlights: Afternoon Safari into Chobe National Park

We leave the salt pans and travel to Kasane, right on the border of Botswana and Zambia. Kasane is a river paradise, our accommodation for the evening is right on the Zambezi river and 5km from the world famous Chobe Game Reserve. In the late afternoon we will embark on a game drive safari into this National park to spot some of Africa's magnificent animals.
Day 16: Springbok to Citrusdal
Distance: +- 250 km
Highlights: Cederburg Mountains, Hot springs, Delicious Seafood

Today we make our way further down into the Western Cape into the Cederberg Region, an area with a rich natural heritage, fruit- filled valleys and towering mountains. Citrusdal sustains a large citrus industry (hence the name). This is also the only region in the world where the Rooibos (Red Bush) tea bush is found. Rooibos tea is famous in South Africa: it is said to have healing properties and anti-oxidants. En-route we stop off in Lamberts Bay to enjoy a seafood buffet on the beach. Tonight we will be staying at The Baths, a resort where you can relax in a natural hot spring.

Day 18: Langebaan- Cape Point- Cape Town
Distance: +- 200 km
Highlights: Penguins, Cape Point, Chapman's peak drive, Table Mountain

Today we drive our motorcycles all the way down to Cape Point- the most South Westerly point of Africa. Here the warm waters of false bay meet the cold waters of the Atlantic and whales are often spotted. Next up, we visit Boulders Beach, where you will able to view Jackass penguins right on the beach! The ride around Cape Town is spectacular, in many places you will ride along coastal roads- with beautiful sea views. Throughout the day you will have spectacular views of Table Mountain. Tonight there will be a delicious farewell dinner in Cape Town.
Day 19: End of Tour

Sadly your tour of South Africa has come to an end. We guarantee that you will take home loads of awesome photographs and fond memories of South Africa and the warm people you have met. Transfers will be arranged to the airport.
